Gotye

There was music from my neighbour's house one Saturday evening. I was trying to meditate and the melody of the song and the high intensity of the end duet, coupled with the haunting beginning was murmuring through the roof above my apartment. I couldn't meditate.... I kept going with the flow of the music, until the chap upstairs decided to put the song on repeat, again, and again until I could think of nothing other than the music. Eventually I ran upstairs and asked him if he could turn the music down.... but I had to ask "What is that song you are playing?". Sheepishly he responded: "Oh, just something I found on itunes" and gave nothing more away. It was my punishment and I was in a living hell until I found out today the name of the song. Gotye - Someone I used to know. Now you can all enjoy it.

Don't you just love it when you have a song that everyone else wants. It reminded me of my cousin in pre-school - he used to have twisties in his lunch pack every morning and my mother didn't pack anything of the sort. At lunch time we would all be grovelling after him to see if he would share the pack and he carried on like a prince sitting atop of a treasure box saying "Some for you, some for you, none for you!"
