Now, in typical French style, they have re-invented a bow tie for women, which looks more like a dog collar, but at the same time are offering some pretty nice looking bow ties for the chaps.
As a side note, I just wanted to tell the world how magnificent December is in Sydney because of one reason. It is that one month when all the OS kids come home to their families for Christmas, when all the Northern Hemisphere travellers come in to escape the winter and enjoy some Australian summer, and when people are just ducking through for a wedding or for some other occasion. It is a splendid month, when the stagnant pool of water that is Sydney's social scene is replenished with fresh rain. Suddenly you hear new accents in restaurants, new voices over the waffle and fresh faces in the crowd. If ever you intend to visit Sydney, do it in December in the lead up to Christmas. It is a small window of about two weeks when this truly is an international city.... Then it is gone and we all walk back to the BBQ with our heads down to watch the summer tennis on the television.
