Dormeuil Celebrates Their 170th Anniversary With Matterhorn Blue - A Pure Merino Wool From New Zealand

Dormeuil have celebrated their 170th Anniversary with the release of Matterhorn Blue, a pure Merino wool from New Zealand in 8 colours of blue. Delicately geometric, with miniscule diamonds on contrasting tones which highlight the slightly cobalt blue base tones. The fabric comes in midnight blue, navy blue and electric blue.

The wool in this exclusive bunch is derived from sheep farmed in the South island of New Zealand. It is a collaboration between Dormeuil and celebrated breeders of New Zealand with the wool specifically chosen for this application by Dormeuil representatives. The sheep from the Awatere Valley are known to produce exceptional wool in part owing to the fertile soil with rich luxurious grasses and in part to the alternating climates of dry heat and mildly damp cold winters, which is the ideal climatic conditions which push sheep to produce finer wool strands.

Unfortunately this bunch resides at Dormeuil's Australian HQ in Melbourne and in order to see this bunch one would need to make an appointment.
